The curse had been hard on all of them. There wasn't a moment that passed when Belladonna didn't remember that very clear fact. A few of the witches that had helped the curse come about felt the same guilt that she did. They knew that what they had done was just a little too far. Black magic had it's limits. What they had done was cruel and heartless in a way none of them had been before. But now the curse was here, and there was nothing else for them now. They had done the ultimate deed. Now they were all paying the price.
Perhaps none more than her. Belladonna had sequestered herself to a small farm in the Central Range. It wasn't the life she had ever desired for herself. But it kept her out of the way of the other witches and it made her feel a little bit more safe to understand that she was where she wanted to be. She grew her own food, she cleaned her own home, it was... well it was a simpler life than before. That wasn't all that bad.
She straightened her spine, placing a gnarled hand against the ache. It would have been better if she wasn't in a seventy five year old body for fifty percent of her life. She blew out a slow breath, the white hair that had fell in front of her face moving gently in the slow breeze. The garden needed to be weeded, among many other little jobs around her small home. She would have been able to do them much easier if she wasn't stuck like this. It was frustrating to say the least.
